I first started taking
photographs seriously about 50 years ago . Years passed and my wife and
I moved to a house that would struggle to accommodate the standard
"wet" darkroom and I decided to embrace new technology and
established one of the earliest "hobby"
electronic darkrooms in Christchurch and started to produce quality
prints without blackout curtains. In 1999 I was awarded an Associateship of
the Photographic Society of New Zealand with
work printed entirely on early inkjet printers and in 2002 after moving
our home to Wanaka I won the 2002 Laurie Thomas New Zealand Landscape
salon with an image titled "Play of Light" The quality of the landscape and light in
this area is outstanding and my continual goal is to produce
